Ciboure Mackerel smoked in beech wood, then preserved in extra virgin olive oil.
You ll notice when you enjoy a can of Pirate smoked fish (Trout, Tuna, Mackerel…): it is never dry.
The flesh of this mackerel is juicy, buttery and the smokiness only compliments the characteristic taste of the fish. Simple, but very efficient, definitely a must have in your pantry for some evening when you don t feel like cooking, with sourdough bread, and a fennel salad with Roots Radicals preserved lemons maybe?
Harvested along a small stretch of the Brittany Coast from Saint Jean de Luz, Capbreton and Arcachon and Canned just up the road in Solférino where these bold combinations of the sea s bounty are created. All the while with the goal of bringing sustainable fishing practices to the dining tables of Europe and beyond.
